I have a question regarding the setup of a hotspot on my Mac. I have a wired ethernet connection, which I connect to the computer. I would then like to be able to connect to that same connection (and the LAN) on my iPhone over wifi. What I did try though is: turn off wifi, go to Network Preferences, WiFi, Advanced, and then in the list of known WiFi networks I deleted the one that I'm currently nearby (but can't connect to). If you don't see Personal Hotspot in the main Settings menu:

1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Tap on Cellular.
3. Tap on Personal Hotspot.

4. Tap the Personal Hotspot On/Off switch, you want it to be green.

If you still don't see Personal Hotspot, make sure your data plan supports tethering.
